On the end:
I'm not ready to let go of my seniors, so I'm not going to. Not yet. Today, I let go of scads of classmates. I'll hold down the fort here, and you guys need to taste other skies for me.

Tomorrow, I'm going to sleep late, fix my spinning wheel, and bike to the grocery store with my lady. Maybe I'll stare at the sky. Maybe I'll spin outside. Maybe I'll sew. Maybe, just maybe, I'll discover something new.

This is the start of a very good thing. I do believe they call it Summer.
We do not speak simply or wait for pauses, no. Rather, there is a flurry of words, lightly tripping off our tongues with little laughs mixed in. Maybe this is because we know what is coming. Maybe this is because we are afraid. Maybe this is because we want to sugar-coat you with our sweet little words, warming you up for the scary things that are to come. It’s not that they are scary, but they seem scary to a small heart like ours. To keep our hearts beating we keep babbling, hoping your tired ears might miss the bombshell.
